We protect what we love.
Our #1 issue: climate
The Roaring Fork Valley is full of people doing extraordinary work on climate. Despite this, many of us feel disconnected and powerless in the face of global change. MTN BIO hosts events that connect you with inspiring people and organizations working on climate solutions across all sectors.
The pioneering work of Holy Cross Energy, Aspen Skiing Company, Pitkin County, the City of Aspen, RFTA, ACES, the Wilderness Workshop, CORE, CLEER and many other businesses and organizations is building the foundation for a sustainable ecosystem. Join us to hear a variety of bold, innovative, and humble approaches to climate and learn how to get involved in ways that inspire you.
MTN BIO is rooted in a simple belief: Nature is brilliant. Based on 3.8 billion years of life, we have a lot to learn from her about living sustainably on our planet. We believe understanding nature's genius is key to finding lasting solutions to issues of all sizes.
Hi, I'm Beth. I created MTN BIO from a deep love for the Roaring Fork Valley (both the people and the land) and a desire to bring creative energy and the wisdom of nature to the challenges we face. Some issues feel too overwhelming to pick up alone, but through engaging events, good conversation, and new perspectives, we begin to see what's possible.
We're a small but mighty team of valley locals building a network of resources, events, friends, and businesses to talk about (and work on) building a sustainable future.
We know that surrounding ourselves with inspiring people and a timeless landscape makes it easier to weather life’s inevitable storms and provides a great backdrop for finding solutions to complex issues.
Welcome to the crew - we’re excited to have you on board!
